In the ongoing Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers’ Chandra Memorial League Football Bloodmouth Club crushed Tribeni club by 6-0 while Lal Bahadur Club staged a surprise by defeating formidable Egiye Chalo Sangha in Agartala on Thursday.

Bloodmouth thrash Tribeni

The Blood Mouth Club virtually secured their spot in the Super Four after a resounding 6-0 victory over a hapless Tribeni in a match held at Umakanta Ground on Thursday.

From the outset, Blood Mouth displayed superior football. On the other hand, Tribeni seemed disjointed in their play. Capitalizing on these lapses, Blood Mouth’s Jishnu’s pass found Amit Jamatia who slotted the ball home in the 18th minute of the first half.

The second half saw Blood Mouth intensify their attacks against Tribeni’s defense. A penalty awarded for a handball inside the box by a Tribeni defender was converted by Jishnu to double the lead. Bobis further extended the lead with a powerful shot from outside the box. Debraj Jamatia then capitalized on Tribeni’s momentary lapse to score the fourth goal. Sukanta Jamatia added a fifth with a blistering strike, and Jishnu completed his brace to seal a comprehensive 6-0 victory.

Jishnu P was adjudged the Man of the Match. With this win, Blood Mouth have amassed 15 points from 7 matches, while Tribeni remain on 4 points, hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone.

Lal Bahadur script surprise win against Egiye Chalo

Lal-Bahadur-Shyam-Sundor-Co-Chandra-MemorialLal Bahadur Vyayamagar pulled off a major upset, defeating the favored Egiye Chalo Sangha in a well-planned and executed football match in the Shyam Sundor Co Jewellers’ Chandra Memorial League Football on Thursday.

This is the first defeat for Egiye Chalo Sangha this season, ending their unbeaten streak of seven matches in both the shield and league competitions.

Lal Bahadur took a decisive 2-0 lead in the first half and managed to maintain it until the final whistle. Despite Egiye Chalo’s dominance in the second half, they couldn’t find the back of the net.

Lal Bahadur’s defense, especially Shashon Kumar Jamatia and Jels Rai, played a crucial role in thwarting Egiye Chalo’s attacks.

Lal Biaq Muana scored both goals for Lal Bahadur in the first half, in the 22nd and 35th minutes. Egiye Chalo had a golden opportunity to score in the second half through Shyam Kumar but failed to capitalize on it.

With this victory, Lal Bahadur Vyayamagar remains in the race for the super league with 10 points from 6 matches. Egiye Chalo Sangha, on the other hand, leads the points table with 15 points from the same number of matches. Lal Bahadur’s Lal Rein Lua was adjudged the man of the match.
