Corruption free 9 years of PM Modi's government highlighted by Union MoS, MP

In a bid to highlight the achievements of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Lok Sabha seat-wise programmes were organized in Tripura on Thursday (June 1).

The event for the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency took place in Udaipur, Gomati, in which Union Minister of State (MoS) Pratima Bhowmik took part. Simultaneously, in Kailashahar, Unakoti district, the programme witnessed the presence of MP Rebati Tripura, representing the East Tripura Lok Sabha Constituency.

During the programmes held in Udaipur, Union MoS Pratima Bhowmik emphasized the corruption-free governance presented by the Narendra Modi-led NDA government during its nine-year tenure.

9-years-PM-Modi-Pratima-RebatiBhowmik attributed the transformation of the developmental landscape in the North Eastern Region (NER) to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"The people of the NER are the first in the country to witness the sunrise, similarly they have witnessed the 'sunrise' of developmental activities in the region for the first time after PM Modi assumed power in 2014," Bhowmik said acknowledging the significant progress brought about by the government.

In her address, the Union MoS highlighted various flagship programmes of the Central government, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, and other welfare schemes. She underlined the successful implementation of these schemes at the grassroots level, emphasizing the positive impact they have had on the people of Tripura.

Meanwhile, speaking at the Kailashahar programme, MP Rebati Tripura criticized the previous UPA II government, labeling it as corrupt. In contrast, he praised Prime Minister Modi for running a corruption-free administration for nine consecutive years. MP Rebati Tripura elaborated on the achievements of the Modi-led government, particularly focusing on the implementation of welfare schemes benefiting underprivileged sections of society.

Highlighting the Modi government's achievements in the healthcare sector over the past nine years, MP Rebati Tripura emphasized the establishment of 700 new medical colleges across the country.

He said mere 641 medical colleges were established from the time of India's independence until 2014. However, PM Modi-led Government showcased the government's commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure.

Discussing the construction of a second airport in Kailashahar, MP Rebati Tripura explained and said, “Expanding the abandoned airport was not feasible due to its location. It is surrounded by a river and a main road. As an alternative, a tea estate in Kailashahar has been identified as suitable land for the establishment of the new airport”.

The MP further revealed that the state and central governments are working together to enhance the Unakoti tourist spot, aiming to attract more visitors.
