Covid Vax to be rolled out at 2 centres in South Tripura

Covid 19 vaccines will be administered from two centres - one at Belonia and other one is at Sabroom in South district.

South District health administration is ready to roll out Covid Vaccine from January 16 next, CMO of South district Dr Jagadish Nama said this today. 

Speaking to media, Dr Nama said, vaccination drive will commence from January 16 at two places in South District. The Vaccination will be given in four phases and each recipient will get two doses.

“One vaccination centre will be set up at Belonia sub-divisional Hospital and the other centre will be set up at Manubazar Community Health Center.  The second dose will be given 28 days after administering the first dose”, the CMO said.

Detailing further, Dr Nama said, in the first phase, vaccines will be administered on Priority Group, Health Staff and ICDS personnel. Armed Police personnel, CRPF, BSF and other security personnel will receive vaccines in the second phase. Persons suffering from critical diseases like TB, Cancer etc and people of age above 50 years will receive Covid19 Vaccines in the third phase. In the last phase, the remaining common people will get the vaccine.
