CWG 2022: Tripura CM congratulates Shushila Devi Likmabam
Elated at the success of Shushila Devi Likmabam in the Common Wealth Games, 2022, Tripura Chief Minister congratulated the Juduka from Manipur.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi showered praises for Shushila Devi, Vijay Kumar And Harjinder Kaur For Winning Medals in the CWG 2022 edition.
On Likmabam’s success, the Prime Minister tweeted, “Elated by the exceptional performance by Shushila Devi Likmabam. Congratulations to her on winning the Silver medal. She has demonstrated remarkable skill and resilience. Best wishes for her future endeavours.”
Shushila Devi Likmabam had to settle for silver, after lost to South Africa's Michaela Whitebooi by a Waza-Ari in the final in Women's 48kg judo competitions of the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Monday. She was expecting to win gold in the CWG 2022.

Ex Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar also congratulated Shushila Devi Likmabam along with other medal winners for their successes in the CWG-2022.
Meantime, IANS reported, Earlier on Monday morning, Sushila defeated Harriet Bonface of Malawi by an ippon to reach the semifinals
India have so far bagged three silver and five bronze medals in the Commonwealth Games as judo has appeared on the programme on and off since 1990.
It was contested in the 2014 edition in Glasgow but was dropped for the 2018 edition in Gold Coast.
