In the run up to Tripura Tribal Autonomous Area District Council (TTAADC) polls on April 6 next, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has made a clarion call to the voters of TTAADC for electing the BJP-IPFT nominated candidates to get the benefits of triple-engine government.
Deb was addressing an election rally in support of the party candidates nominated from 9- Halahali- Asharambari and 10-Kulai- Champahour at Bharat Sardar Para XII School ground on Tuesday.
Notably, BJP-led Governments are in power in Centre and the State making a double engine Governments. By triple-engine Government, Deb referred to wresting Power from CPM in TTAADC and forming BJP-IPFT led Council, party sources said.
He said, to build a new Khumulwng – the HQ of TTAADC - there is a need to ensure victory of BJP-IPFT candidates so that the people get the benefits of a triple-engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The call came in reference to the deprivation of the people during the long Left rule.
Addressing the gathering, Deb pointed out that the non-availability of drinking water was the key issue in TTAADC areas for years. But, the previous Left government didn’t take any effective step to solve the problem while the BJP-IPFT government arranged drinking water for the people in only three years.
Deb said, it is fact that his government is yet to meet all the aspirations of the people. But, his government is committed and working for an all-round development.
“The state has registered economic growth despite the challenges thrown by the COVID19 pandemic. Tripura is going to become breadwinner for the entire North East in the next few years,” Deb said.
Minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia, MLA Kalyani Roy, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, BJP leader Amit Rakshit and other local leaders were present in the public rally.
Led by the Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, BJP-IPFT alliance has launched a spirited poll campaigning and is eyeing to oust CPM from TTAADC.
