Gail extends support to Tripura NHM for Covid vaccination
Gail India limited Tripura Branch on Thursday handed over 16 ILR (Ice Lined Refrigerators) refrigerators to National Health Mission to support the Covid vaccination endeavor. Mission Director National Health Mission Siddhrtha Shiv Jaiswal received the consignment of ILR from the GAIL and thanked the Maharatna company for their support.
The Gail India Limited under its CSR programe spent Rs 13.60 lakh for the procurement of the important component of the vaccination drive.
Chief Manager of Gail (HR) AS Chakma along with other higher officials of the company attended the function. Speaking on the occasion the NHM chief said, “with this ILRs Tripura can increase the number of its cold chain points that now stand at 152”.
According to Jaiswal 100 new ILRs will come from the government of India for Tripura as the vaccination process progresses. Jaiswal also said that he was eager to send a proposal to the Gail for oxygen pipeline project for the district hospital—IGM hospital that falls under Agartala Municipal Corporation.
