Govt planning to set up 3rd Tripura Bhavan in Delhi: CM Dr Saha

The Tripura government is actively considering the establishment of another Tripura Bhavan in Delhi, Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha said.

At present, two Tripura Bhavans are operational in the national capital; however, space constraints have hindered the accessibility of these facilities for the people of the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Saha has taken this issue into serious consideration and is planning to launch a more spacious Tripura Bhavan in Dwarka, Delhi. If this plan comes to fruition, it is expected to significantly benefit the residents of Tripura when they visit Delhi.

“Currently there are two Tripura Bhavans in Delhi. However, due to limited space, many Tripura residents who come to Delhi with various problems are not able to arrange rooms in the building. Our state government has plans to construct a new building on a large scale in Dwarka, Delhi”, Dr Saha wrote in a social media post.

In pursuit of this endeavor, the Chief Minister recently paid a courtesy visit to Delhi's Lieutenant Governor, Binoy Kumar Saxena. During the meeting, a comprehensive discussion took place regarding the proposal for the new Tripura Bhavan, and Dr. Saha also advocated for the allocation of land for this envisioned facility.

Furthermore, on the same day, Chief Minister Dr. Saha held meetings with two central ministers in Delhi. He met with Union Minister of State for Skill Development, Rajeev Chandrashekar, and Union Minister of State for Law and Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Arjun Ram Meghwal. During these meetings, various matters related to the development of the state were discussed.

The potential establishment of an additional Tripura Bhavan in Delhi aims to address the space constraints and enhance the accessibility of facilities for Tripura's residents visiting the national capital.
