The overall welfare of every person in society is the main goal of the government. When all sections of society progress, then the real progress of society takes place. With the aim of achieving this goal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra to take all the welfare schemes of the government to the last person of society.
Chief Minister of Tripura Professor Dr. Manik Saha made the statement at an event for the distribution of sewing machines, financial assistance to small businessmen, loan distribution to students studying in higher education, and sports equipment to scheduled caste student hostels.
The event was held at the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala on Thursday.
Dr said that the state government is responsible for the overall development of all sections of the people of the state. The second phase of "Door to Door Good Governance" has started in the state with the aim of taking the welfare schemes of the state government to the last person.
He said that according to the 2011 census, there are about 6 lakh scheduled caste communities living in Tripura. There are a total of 34 scheduled caste communities in Tripura.
The state government is working with special emphasis on the education, health, self-reliance, infrastructure development of the area, and economic development of the people of the scheduled caste community.
By identifying 32 areas dominated by SC in the state, special attention is being paid to the overall development of those areas.
In his speech, the Chief Minister further said that the state government is implementing various schemes for scheduled caste students.
The Chief Minister said that the state is also moving ahead in all areas along with the country today. It will be possible to build a great Tripura through the combined cooperation of everyone.
He said that today, in the first phase, 307 sewing machines, 260 loans for small businesses, 17 bicycles, 50 weighing machines, sports equipment for 12 ST hostels, 4 loans for higher education, and a team of 6 persons for fish and dried fish business will be distributed to the beneficiaries of the scheduled caste community of West District.
At the end of the event, Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha and the present guests handed over sewing machines, loan cheques, bicycles, etc. to a few beneficiaries symbolically.
