Much to the relief of the job aspirants, the Joint Recruitment Board, Tripura (JRBT) has announced the eagerly-awaited final merit list for Group-C recruitment, endorsing a total of 1980 candidates.
This final merit list preparation followed an extensive selection process, which encompassed a written examination and subsequent interviews, aiming to fill 2410 Group-C positions.
However, it's worth noting that the JRBT could not recommend candidates for 430 of these posts, including 37 for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and 34 for Ex-Service Men, due to the unavailability of suitable and eligible candidates.
This number (430) also includes 199 posts in the Unreserved (UR) category, 153 in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, and 78 in the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
The process leading to the announcement of the final merit list began with a written examination held in August 2021 for a total of 4910 Group-C and Group-D posts, attracting a participation of approximately 1,31,000 candidates. The JRBT initially published the written test results on November 30 2022, followed by the Viva voce examinations.
Today, the JRBT has officially announced the much-anticipated final results.
Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha commended all successful candidates for their achievements in the Group-C examination.
The delay in announcing these results had stirred uncertainty among job aspirants, prompting demonstrations advocating for a timely release. Finally, the veil of suspense has been lifted as the final results see the light of day.
This announcement couldn't have come at a more opportune time, as the successful job aspirants can now celebrate their achievements just ahead of the festive season, with Durga Puja around the corner.
Meanwhile, it's worth mentioning that Dr. Manik Saha-led cabinet's decision to make the PRTC (Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate) mandatory for government jobs has played a pivotal role in providing more opportunities for the youth of the state.
As per the notification, all certificates of the recommended candidates will undergo thorough verification by the respective departments, ensuring that they meet the specified eligibility criteria before issuing offers or appointments.
