Labharthi Parivar Mahasammelan: PM Modi's initiatives transforming women's lives, says Tripura CM

Tripura's Chief Minister, Dr. Manik Saha, commended the invaluable contributions of Self Help Groups (SHGs) in bolstering the empowerment of women from both urban and rural areas.

During his address at a Labharthi Parivar Mahasammelan, organized by the Tripura Urban Livelihoods Mission in Agartala on Wednesday, Dr. Saha highlighted the role of SHGs in enabling women to achieve self-reliance through government initiatives.

He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to empower women across the nation, with a specific focus on achieving self-sufficiency. The women in Tripura, including those from urban and rural backgrounds, have significantly benefited from these initiatives, with many becoming self-reliant through the utilization of various government programs. Dr. Saha acknowledged the significant contribution of Self Help Groups in this transformative process.

He emphasized the government's commitment to the principles of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash, Sabka Viswas, and Sabka Prayas," which serve as the driving force behind the current administration's initiatives.

Dr. Saha underscored the government's unwavering dedication to the socio-economic betterment of the state's residents. He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is actively implementing the vision of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay to ensure that the benefits of development reach every individual in society. The state government, guided by the Prime Minister's vision, continues to work diligently to improve the socio-economic conditions of its people.

The event was attended by dignitaries such as Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder, Urban Development Department Director Rajat Panth, Additional Municipal Commissioner Mohammad Sajad P, and State Level Bankers Committee Convener Bikash Das.
