More than 4000 beneficiaries got Covid Vax jab in Tripura, so far

Covid vaccination drive is continuing Tripura following the specific guidelines issued by the Central Government. Since beginning, more than 4000 beneficiaries had got the vaccine jab in the State so far registering on an average above 54 per cent vaccination. The Vaccination drive, across the State, will be done four days in a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

A total of 4269 beneficiaries were vaccinated so far since January 16 out of a total of 7829 targeted beneficiaries. Starting from January 16 and till January 19, average rate of vaccination in Tripura is 54.53 per cent. .  Speaking to the media, Mission director of NHM Dr Siddharth Jaswal said this on Tuesday in Agartala. He added, so far, vaccination had been conducted in 99 session sites across the State.

On the third day, vaccination was held in 49 session sites in which a total of 1988 persons got the vaccines jab today.  Dr Jaswal said, the target was set to administer vaccines among 3688 beneficiaries and out of them, 1988 persons got the Vax shot across the State on Tuesday. The average rate of vaccination was 54.18 per cent on Tuesday.

Among notables, NHM Mission director Dr Jaswal, HoD of Microbiology of GBP Hospital Dr Tapan Majumder, Medical superintendent of GBP Hospital Dr Debashish Roy, Deputy MS Dr Sankar Chakraborty, State Nodal officer of NCD Dr Supriyo Mallik etc also received the corona vaccines on Tuesday.

Wednesday being the day of Routine Immunization (RI), there will be no vaccination tomorrow.
