NHM Tripura Launches Micro-site Based Healthcare Registration Program

The Tripura unit of the National Health Mission (NHM) has launched an innovative micro-site based Healthcare Professional Registration (HPR) and Healthcare Facility Registration (HFR) program.

The announcement was made on Tuesday at a press conference held at the NHM state office.

State Mission Director Rajib Dutta, along with Additional Mission Director Binoy Bhushan Das and other officials, provided detailed insights into the registration initiative.

Dutta emphasized that the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is a transformative initiative aimed at fortifying the country's integrated digital health infrastructure.

Ma Usha Charitable Trust, an interfacing agency, will implement the program in the urban areas of West Tripura district.

The program includes special micro-site based registration drives for doctors, nurses, laboratories, nursing homes, and pharmacies across West Tripura district.

The HFR component focuses on registering healthcare facilities such as hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, and pharmacies on the ABDM platform.

Concurrently, the HPR component involves registering doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

These registration drives aim to address challenges in implementing the ABDM services and provide digital health services to citizens through the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) app.

The ABHA app allows citizens to book doctor appointments and store and utilize their health-related information digitally through a unique 14-digit ABHA number.

This number simplifies communication between healthcare providers and beneficiaries, granting access to lab reports and prescriptions.

With the ABHA ID, patients can avoid long hospital lines and easily access various lab or test reports, as well as book doctor appointments online. The need to carry old medical records physically is eliminated.

The NHM Tripura has urged all stakeholders to complete the HPR and HFR registration processes and encouraged beneficiaries to create their ABHA IDs.

The registration camps will run until July 12, while ABHA ID generation programs are ongoing in various schools across the state.

Since June 3, ABHA ID generation camps have been operational at all health centers in the state, NHM officials stated.

The officials also presented a status report. As of June 7, 2024, total number of ABHA is 19,43,255 while the total number of Health Record Links is 17,57,942.

Total 1896 Facilities are HFR verified and number of the verified healthcare professional stands at 3412.
