The 13th virtual E-Convocation of National Institute of Technology Agartala will be held on Tuesday, November 17 next.

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will be the Chief Guest of the function and will deliver the Convocation Address..

Prof. Gautam Vemuri of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), USA will attend the convocation as Guest of Honour.  Anil Mutha, Chairman, Joindre Capital Service and Mutha Industries Pvt. Ltd. will also grace the occasion as Guest of Honour. Dr. Subhash Chandra Sati, Chairman, Board of Governors, NIT Agartala will preside over the function., Prof. Harish Kumar Sharma, Director, NIT Agartala will award the degrees to the students.

In this convocation, 24 Ph.D. scholars, 181 M.Tech students, 14 MBA students, 24 M.Sc. Students, 20 MCA Students, 25 BSMS stildenis, 06 BTMT students, 534 B.Tech. students, 20 BS students ‘and 09 BT students will get their degrees. In total, 857 students will get their degrees in this Convocation.

NIT-A-virtual-convocationAt present, more than 250 research scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. in various fields in the NIT-Agartala. In the academic year 2019-20, NIT Agartala fraternity has published more than 350 research papers in prestigious Science Citation Indexed (SCI), Scopus Indexed and other journals. A total of 09 (Nine) patents has been filed and 04 (Four) patent has been published in the year of 2019. A total number of 41 book chapters and 02 books were published.

During Academic Year 2019-20, 94.12% of the total eligible students were placed in top companies through campus placement. Beside this, 90% of pre final year engineering students have completed their internship in the last academic year.

Various  international and national conferences, workshops, academic competitions etc. were organized throughout the year. The faculty members have organized 07 International and National Conference in the academic year 2019-20. In total, 42 international & national workshops/webinars have also been organized in the last academic year. Reputed Scientists, Educationist, Corporate Personalities and NIT Agartala Alumni have participated in these programs from all over India and abroad.

NIT Agartala is ranked within 100 top institutions for the last three consecutive years in NIRF. In this year, NIT Agartala secured 75th position among the engineering institutes in India as revealed by NIRF ranking system. First ever incubation centre, offered by Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) was established at NIT Agartala and 17 (seventeen) number of Projects on Space Matters are actively going on with financial support from ISRO.
