“Though meager in amount, it directly comes from the hearts of every household of Jampui Hill, whose residents feel the agonies, pains and sufferings of each of those affected by the recent disaster our state has been going through.”

“Hence, this humble gesture from our side is a symbol of our support and goodwill, and we pray and hope that it meets the needs of those suffering at least in a small but meaningful way.”

“We thank you and the government for giving us this opportunity to help.”

Mizo Convention leaders take this opportunity to bring up two critical issues with the DM (North), namely Tlaksih village disaster and the stalled construction of Tlaksih to Chhimluang segment of NH44A.

The DM (North) assured the Mizo leaders that with respect to Tlaksih village, all results of technical studies done by institutes and agencies have been obtained and remedial measures will be taken soon accordingly.

And with regards to Tlaksih to Chhimluang segment of NH44A, he informed the Mizo leaders that contract with the previous nonperforming agency have been terminated and a new contract with another agency have been done, hence work will resume soon.
