TGBOA distributes blankets, sports fraternity pays Homage to Netaji on his birth anniv

As part of the observance of the 128th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the Tripura Gramin Bank Officers' Association (TGBOA) organized a Blanket Distribution Program in East Kanchanbari on Thursday. The event saw the distribution of over 130 blankets and sweets to the underprivileged members of the community, in the esteemed presence of MLA Bhagaban Das.

The MLA extended his heartfelt congratulations to TGBOA for their supportive initiative aimed at uplifting the rural populace of the state. In his address, he engaged with the attendees, asking about their connection with Tripura Gramin Bank. Each person present expressed pride in holding an account with TGB, highlighting the various beneficial schemes they have accessed through the bank.

Meantime, the annual celebration of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birth anniversary once again filled the state with reverence and pride. Schools and clubs across the State participated in the traditional procession, and this year was no exception. On a foggy Thursday morning, the Shatadal Sangha from Ashram Chowmuhani organized a dazzling rally that captured the spirit of the day.

One of the standout features of this year's rally was the active involvement of members from the Tripura Sports Karate Association. Adding a touch of athletic prowess to the celebration, five internationally recognized karate players graced the event. These athletes, Debasmrita Kar, Uday Dey, Rick Mazumdar, Deepanwita Acharya, and Tiyas Debnath, brought an element of martial arts discipline to the procession.

Under the leadership of Krishna Sutradhar, the Secretary of the Tripura Sports Karate Association, these sportsmen and women marched, blending the celebration of national heroism with the display of sportsmanship, thus enriching the homage to Netaji with a unique blend of culture and sport.

Also, Tripura Sports School at Badarghat also celebrated the 128th birth anniversary of the indomitable freedom fighter, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, by hoisting the national flag. The event brought together teachers, students, coaches from the Khelo India Center, Deputy Sports Officer Prabal Kanti Deb, and various school staff in a unified chorus of the national anthem, marking the day with profound respect. School's principal, Dr. Bharati Nigam hoisted the National flag.
