Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha participated in an International Conference on Dam Safety held in Jaipur, Rajasthan on Thursday. The gathering also saw the presence of dignitaries including Bharat's Vice-President, Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
The International Conference on Dam Safety, organized by the Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD &GR) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, served as a platform for global experts and leaders in the field to converge and collaborate on bolstering dam safety measures.
According to a Press Information Bureau (PIB) press release, Vice-President Dhankhar inaugurated the vinyl-wrapped Kamakhya Express from Varanasi station via video conferencing. This initiative is part of the 'Pani Ki Rail' campaign under the National Water Mission.
Two trains, the Himsagar Express and Kamakhya Express, have been adorned with vinyl wraps in partnership with the Ministry of Railways. The aim is to raise awareness about water conservation, river rejuvenation, clean drinking water, and sanitation. These trains will act as mobile billboards, spreading the vital message as they travel throughout the country.
Furthermore, the Vice-President unveiled the National Register of Large Dams during the event. This comprehensive compilation documents the large dams across the country, with input from the relevant State Governments and Authorities.
Simultaneously, Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha addressed a gathering of industrialists at an event organized by the Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industries (FORTI).
During the event, the Chief Minister of Tripura explored the potential for growth within Rajasthan's tourism sector. He extended an invitation to local entrepreneurs and industrialists of Rajasthan, encouraging them to invest in various sectors in Tripura, including Education, Health, Tourism, Real Estate, Hotel, Rubber, Bamboo, and other key industries.
Approximately 50-60 local business leaders and investors participated in the FORTI event, with some expressing their keen interest in exploring business opportunities in Tripura.
