Tripura CM extends financial aid for hospital bills and funeral expenses of deceased citizen of State

In a compassionate move, Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha and the State Government have approved a sum of Rs 70,000 to cover the outstanding hospital bills and funeral expenses of Late Anjan Sarkar from Kailasahar in Unakoti District of the State.

Late Anjan Sarkar had tragically passed away following an accident during a personal trip to Bengaluru. The financial burdens faced by his family prompted deceased Anjan Sarkar's father to seek assistance from the government to alleviate the substantial costs involved.

"Thanks to the Chief Minister's intervention, an amount of Rs 70,000 has been sanctioned to settle the outstanding hospital bills and cover the expenses related to Anjan Sarkar's funeral", sources close to the bereaved family said.

This decision by the Chief Minister underscores the commitment of Dr. Saha and his government to inclusivity and the welfare of its citizens. It exemplifies the essence of a welfare state that extends support and care to those in need.

He further added, "As soon as I learned about the situation, I immediately instructed my office to contact the family, the hospital, and the Karnataka authorities to ensure the grieving family receives all possible assistance.
