Tripura CM holds talks with PM Modi on strategic connectivity, infra initiatives

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday to discuss various aspects of the state's development and crucial issues.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister provided a comprehensive overview of ongoing development initiatives and future plans in Tripura.

The discussion was held on a wide array of crucial topics, including international flight connectivity with Bangladesh, the Agartala-Akhaura rail link project, the inauguration of services through the Bharat-Bangla Maitri Setu, and improvements in highway infrastructure.

He sought the Prime Minister's guidance on advancing the overall development of Tripura, emphasizing the importance of his mentorship in steering the state towards good governance.

In view of Prime Minister Modi's upcoming birthday on September 17, Dr. Saha conveyed his early birthday wishes during the meeting.

Taking to X social media platform after the meeting, Chief Minister Saha expressed his deep honor and said, "Extremely honored to have met Bharat's respected Pradhan Sevak, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, in New Delhi today. I congratulated the Hon'ble PM for successfully steering the G20 Presidency and received invaluable insights for Tripura's holistic development. His unwavering support has consistently illuminated the path toward delivering governance to every corner of our society."

Throughout the meeting, Dr. Manik Saha expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his relentless support and guidance towards the growth of Tripura.

The Chief Minister of Tripura highlighted the remarkable strides made in various sectors, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic prosperity, all of which have significantly improved the lives of the state's residents.

The discussions between the two leaders extended to a broad spectrum of topics, covering economic development, investment prospects, agriculture, healthcare, and environmental conservation.

The Chief Minister of Tripura informed the Prime Minister about the state government's proactive efforts to promote investment in Tripura's industrial sector, noting that investors from various regions have shown keen interest due to the government's creation of an industry-friendly environment.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi expressed his contentment over the historic victories in the recent by-elections held in Boxanagar and Dhanpur assembly constituencies of Tripura.
