Tripura CM tells PWD to adopt advanced technology for sustainable construction works

Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha, on Tuesday, called for the use of advanced technology in the construction of roads, bridges, and buildings to ensure their durability and sustainability.

He was presiding over a review meeting of the Public Works Department (PWD) at Pragna Bhavan in Agartala, where he assessed the status of various developmental projects under the PWD.

Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of completing all the construction works within the stipulated time and maintaining the quality standards. He said that the PWD is the face of the government and its performance reflects the government's commitment to the people.

He also appreciated the role of engineers in implementing the developmental projects and urged them to adopt modern technology in their work. He warned that the government would not accept any quality compromise in the construction works and asked the officials to resolve any issues through dialogue.

The meeting also discussed the achievements, progress, and new initiatives of the PWD in relation to the construction of roads, bridges, and buildings. The Chief Minister reviewed the works of different PWD circles and gave necessary directions.

Among the officials who attended the meeting were the Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary to PWD Abhishek Singh, Chief Engineer (Road and Bridge) Rajib Debbarma, Chief Engineer (NH) Amit Das, Chief Engineer (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana) Bimal Das, and OSD to Chief Minister Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee.
