Gasps of bewilderment filled the air, as curious people fixed their eyes on the 'African tribes'.  Whispers of excitement rippled through the crowd, mingling with a sense of awe and intrigue. For the villagers, it was a day that shattered the ordinary with a burst of color, culture, and mystery -thanks to the students of Ananda Mohan Roaja Smriti High School.

Alongwith entire nation, Gandachhera sub-division under the Dhalai District of Tripura celebrated Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birth anniversary on January 23 with great fervor.

The highlight of the day was a colorful procession that captured the spirit of unity and cultural diversity. The event was organized by the Dumboornagar School Inspector's office.

Among the distinguished attendees were Thuisa Mog, the Dumboornagar School Inspector, and Khajendra Tripura, Vice Principal of Gandachhera Class XII School, alongside other local dignitaries.

The parade was a kaleidoscope of themes, but one that particularly stood out was the depiction of African tribal life by students from Anand Mohan Roaja Smriti Higher Secondary School.

Their performance was a vivid tableau of African indigenous culture, showcasing traditional dances, music, and attire, bringing an exotic touch to the proceedings.

This segment not only highlighted the global influence of Bose's fight for freedom but also served as a bridge to connect different cultures under the umbrella of India's diverse heritage.

Kabiguru Rabindranath Smriti Vidya Bhavan added to the spectacle with their portrayal of Bharat Mata and the Rani of Jhansi, emphasizing unity in diversity and the historical Silk Route.

Meanwhile, Gandachhera Class XII School contributed with performances of traditional Tripuri tribal dances and a poignant road safety message.

The procession traversed through different areas of Gandachera, including the market and Hospital Chowmuhani areas, before looping back to its starting point at Gandachhera Class XII School.

The entire event was coordinated by Bhaskar Ghosh, the NSS Program Officer from Gandachhera Class XII School, who ensured that each step of the march was both a celebration and an educational journey.
