The Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu extended his heartfelt congratulations to former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani on being awarded the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award of India. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha too congratulated 'Bharat Ratna' LK Advani.
In his message, the Governor of Tripura said, "Lal Krishna Advani served as the Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004. He served as the Home Minister for the longest time from 1998 to 2004. He also served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha for the longest time. His contribution to the development of the country is immense."
"Lal Krishna Advani's life of transparency, honesty and commitment to values for decades is an inspiration to all of us. Coming from an ordinary family, his strong conviction, courage, ideals and commitment in politics will remain a shining example." The Governor said.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also congratulated former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani on being awarded the Bharat Ratna.
In his message, Dr Saha wrote, "I extend my humble respect and congratulations to the former Deputy Prime Minister of the country and former Information and Broadcasting and Home Minister on being honored. His life and work is an inspiration to the last person in the society."
Dr. Manik Saha also expressed his heartfelt gratitude and thanks to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for honoring Lal Krishna Advani with the Bharat Ratna for his memorable contribution to the overall welfare of the country. In his message, the Chief Minister wished Lal Krishna Advaniji a healthy and long life.
