In an attempt to highlight the diverse culture and unity of India, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is a unique initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) serves as a platform for understanding the languages, traditions, mutual understanding, and respect for each other among various states.
Inaugurating the NCC's Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat camp at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Yuva Awas Stadium in Agartala on Tuesday, Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu said this. The camp was organized under the initiative of the Directorate of NCC Northeast Region and the 13-NCC Tripura Battalion.
In his address, Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu mentioned that such camps help foster national integration, and awaken a sense of brotherhood, which inspires the building of a great India.
He said that this camp would encourage the cadets to contribute to the progress of our great nation.
Around 500 NCC cadets from Delhi, West Bengal, Sikkim, Tripura, Manipur, Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Meghalaya are participating in this camp, which will conclude on December 27. The Governor also interacted with the cadets.
The inaugural event began with a welcome speech delivered by Brigadier Kapil Sood, Group Commander of the NCC Group Headquarters in Silchar. Present on the occasion were C Rajasekhar, Commanding Officer of the 13-Tripura Battalion NCC, along with other NCC officials.
