Tripura Guv Urges Parents to Shield Students From Drug Abuse, Calls for True Education

Students should be properly informed about our country's rich culture and heritage. Teachers should take the initiative in this regard, said Governor of Tripura  Indra Sena Reddy Nallu while inaugurating the celebration of 150th Anniversary of Blessed Basil Moreau entry into Eternal life, at Holy Cross Higher Secondary School Kathalcherra in Dhalai District of Tripura on Saturday.

The Governor said that students should be educated in true education. He urged the parents to ensure that the students stay far away from the harmful influences of drugs.

He urged the teachers to ensure that students learn about our country's glorious history, culture, and civilization. The school's principal, Father Davis, delivered the welcome address. The school's principal teacher also delivered a vote of thanks.

Among others present at the event were MLA Paul Danshu, Executive Member of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council Dolly Reang, and Additional District Magistrate of Dhalai district Subrata Kumar Das. The school students presented a delightful cultural program at the event.
