Tripura: Hakim, Sayani campaign in Jubarajnagar, Kunal, Manas hold press meet, Abhishek, Shatrughan arrive

Trinamool Congress sent a bunch of leaders from Bengal to campaign for Trinamool Congress candidates battling in by-polls in four Assembly Constituencies. Kolkata Municipal Corporation Mayor Abdul Hakim, Sayani Ghosh and others campaigned for party candidate from Jubarajnagar constituency in North Tripura on Sunday.

Kunal Ghosh, Manas Bhuiyan and other TMC leaders addressed media from the camp-office in Agartala today – while TMC All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee and TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha arrived in Agartala today.

Sayani-Ghosh-Trinamool-Tripura-AITCAddressing a gathering at Mangalkhali under Jubarajnagar Assembly Constituency in North Tripura on Sunday, Abdul Hakim alleged, The Bharatiya Janata Party had not done anything – except for deceiving people with tall talks - for the development of Tripura during the last four years. He was equally vocal against the CPM and said, CPM is the main Opposition party in Tripura – but they are playing a silent role against the BJP due to fear of ED, CBI etc. Trinamool Congress does not fear anyone except the almighty. Along with him, Sayani Ghosh too pitched for TMC candidate Mrinala Kanti Nath from Jubarajnagar.

Sayani Ghosh alleged, Tripura is lagging behind in Health, education and there is no opportunity for the unemployed youths to earn a livelihood. She cited the instance of West Bengal, where, according to her, Mamata Banerjee-led Government ensured all-round development and progress.

Both of them urged people to vote for TMC candidate for the sake of people, growth and development of the State.

In Agartala Kunal Ghosh, Manas Bhuiyan and other leaders held a press meet today. Addressing the media Kunal Ghosh said, BJP is realizing that the soil under their feet is eroding.

Justifying his claim, Ghosh said millions of people in the state of Assam were displaced by the floods, but the Chief Minister of Assam had to come to Tripura to campaign for BJP candidates because the saffron party understands that the soil under their feet is eroded.

Kunal Ghosh said people want change in Tripura. If girls of West Bengal can get Kanyashree, mothers get Lakshmi Bhandar, why can't girls and mothers of Tripura get the same?, Ghosh asked.

At the press conference, Trinamool leader Manas Bhuiyan alleged that the BJP had hit the altar of democracy. They have destroyed the fundamental rights of the Constitution. He appealed to the voters to vote for the Trinamool candidates in the by-elections.
