Tripura News : CM returns after completing Delhi tour
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb arrived in Agartala on Wednesday after completing his Delhi tour.
During his visit to New Delhi, Deb met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other central ministers including Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He also met the first Tripura resident MoS, Pratima Bhowmik during his Delhi visit.
While meeting the Prime Minister and other Ministers, Deb focused on implementation of developmental works in the State as well as informed them about status of undergoing project works. In addition, he also informed the Union Ministers about steps taken to combat Covid19 as well as put the Covid-hit economy back on right track.
Besides, the Tripura Chief Minister met several national level leaders of BJP including general secretary (Organization) B L Santosh and All India BJP president JP Nadda. According to his facebook posts, he held elaborate discussions on organizational matters during his meetings with party bigwigs. It appears that he also had discussions on possible expansion of the State Cabinet.
Soon after his arrival here the Chief Minister held brief discussions with his party colleagues and administrative officials. Deb is expected to leave for Shillong as Home Minister Amit Shah would review the Covid situation in the North East.
Meanwhile, a cabinet meeting is scheduled to come up on Thursday.
