Tripura News: CM to open two-day Speacial Vaccination drive in Tripura on June 21

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a special vaccination drive for 18 years and above age group people on June 21 and June 22. As part of the country wide exercise the two-day special drive will be conducted in Tripura from Monday. The special drive across the State will be conducted in 1342 centres.

 

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will inaugurate this special vaccination drive at IMA House in Agartala. He thanked the Prime Minister for his relentless efforts in the battle against Covid and safety of country’s citizens.

 

In a video message, Deb urged all eligible candidates who have not been vaccinated to avail the two-day special drive and get the jab. He expressed hope that the vaccination drive would be conducted in a festive mood and Tripura would touch a new milestone in terms of vaccination.

 

Hailing people for spontaneous response and awareness, Deb said Tripura is on top of the table in the country in vaccination. In this connection he also praised the role of the Health department for its persistent effort to make vaccination a grand success.

 

The Chief Minister also said that vaccination would continue even after the two-day special drive.

 

Deb urged all walks of the society including the public representatives and clubs to come forward and ensure that the eligible candidates grab the opportunity during the vaccination drive.

 

He exuded confidence that Tripura would emerge as a first State to vaccinate its cent per cent eligible population.

 

Meanwhile, District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura District, Debapriya Bardhan, SDM Sadar, Asim Saha and other concerned persons visited and inspected preparations at the IMA House in Agartala where Deb will inaugurate the two-day vaccination drive.
