Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb urged people to resist the forces that kept the State backward.

He said apart from fighting back the Corona pandemic, the people should resist the anti-development forces that kept the state backward in the past.

Deb was addressing a party programme in Kakraban constituency under Gomati District on Wednesday. During today’s programme, in yet another spectacular joining programme as many as 2891 people from 720 families joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing the gathering, Deb asked the people to be alert on any conspiracy to disrupt the peace and harmony and any attempt to misguide the people.

The Chief Minister along with Tourism minister Pranajit Singha Roy and BJP state unit president Dr. Manik Saha welcomed the new entrants to BJP during a public rally organized by Salgarah Mandal at Kakraban school ground on Wednesday.

Commenting on the joining drive, the Tourism Minister said the continuous joining of people to BJP across the state clearly indicates that the people are not influenced by the malicious campaign of opposition parties rather they are happy with the development works of the BJP-IPFT government.

Meanwhile, the winning candidates of the BJP panel in the recently concluded Udaipur Bar Association polls met the Chief Minister during the rally. The Chief Minister congratulated them all for the win.
