Tripura News: CM visits Covid care facilities, Covid War Room in Sepahijala Dist

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has visited several Covid Care facilities in Sepahijala district on Saturday. He also visited a Covid War Room run by 60 trained teachers in the district. 

The Covid War Room has been set up with the special initiative of Viswashree B., District Magistrate of Sepahijala. Sixty teachers trained for the task. The War Room will function round the clock to deliver information regarding Covid Care Centers, ambulances, hospital beds and medical shops in the district.

 

Accompanied by the health and administrative officials, Deb inspected the existing infrastructures as well as interacted with the local health authorities.

 

He also visited a Covid War Room set up at Bishramganj Higher Secondary School by the Sepahijala district administration. Total sixty teachers have been imparted training and engaged in the war room for its operation round the clock.

 

Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said that the state government would vaccinate all eligible in a phased manner. Everyone needs to keep patience, Deb said.

 

After visiting the Covid Care Centres, Deb said the district administration had already taken necessary steps to fight the pandemic.

 

“Initially, 200 beds were made operational in two centres while more 700 beds were being prepared for each centre, he said. The Chief Minister also appealed to the people not to go out of home unnecessarily and to maintain Covid appropriate behaviour,” Deb added.

 

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister hinted that the state government was waiting for the suggestions of doctors, experts and administration for enforcing a lockdown.

 

As part of his visit at Sepahijala district, the Chief Minister also inspected a Dedicated Covid Care Centre which is under construction at Melaghar. He said the centre would be prepared with 25 beds including 4 ventilators beds within next 15 days. He also visited the proposed site for installation of oxygen plant adjacent to the Covid centre.

 

While visiting Lalsingmura Covid Centre where some inmates of Central Jail are undergoing treatment. He passed an instruction to the administration for ensuring full-proof security of this centre.
