Tripura News: Corona Curfew extended, new guidelines issued

The state government has extended the Corona Curfew across the State till June 10 next with some modifications in the guidelines.

 

The Corona Curfew extended with effect from 5am of June 6 and will remain in force till 6pm of June 10 next in the jurisdiction of Agartala Municipal Corporation and in all other Urban Local Bodies.

 

Corona Day Curfew outside AMC and ULBs of the state has been extended from 5 am of June 6 up to 6 pm of June 10 next.

 

Corona Night Curfew (from 6 pm to 5 am) in all areas of the state has been extended from 6 pm of June 6 up to 5 am of June 11 next.

 

All stand-along shops and commercial establishments dealing with essential items like groceries, vegetables, milk, meat/fish, animal feed/ fodder etc. shall remain open from 6 am to 2 pm. All other shops and commercial establishments will remain closed at all times.

 

Law minister Ratanlal Nath announced this at a press conference at the Civil Secretariat on Friday.

 

The order said, during the Corona Day Curfew, the Inter district movement of vehicles and people will remain restricted till 6 pm of June 10 next except essential/ emergency purposes. Shopping malls and market complexes will remain closed all time.

 

“Vehicles other than government vehicles will be allowed to ply only from 6 am to 2 pm for essential needs. However, this restriction shall not apply to vehicles used for medical needs even after 2 pm. There will be a total ban on movement of individuals from 2 pm to 5 am daily except for prescribed exemptions,” the order reads.

 

“All non-essential offices both government and non-government shall remain closed. However, gazetted officers and senior executives of non-government sector with key support staff may function up to 4 pm as per essential requirement,” the order said.

 

“All types of super spreading events and gatherings like social/ political/ entertainment/ religious/ academic/ cultural/ fair/ festival related congregation will remain ceased. No meeting/ gathering at any open or closed spaces will be allowed except essential government meetings with up to 20 participants,” the order said.

 

Movie halls/ multiplexes, shopping complex/malls/ gymnasium swimming pool, beauty parlours, barber shops, sports complexes and stadiums, entertainment parks, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places will remain closed.

 

The restaurants/ Dhabas will operate only up to 2 pm. Restaurants in hotels will operate up to 2 pm for outside guests. However, in-house guests will avail services at all times.
