The Lions Club of Agartala set up Oxygen concentrator bank considering growing demand for artificial oxygen in health care services. The Oxygen Bank has been set up at the Ujjayanta Market in Agartala on Wednesday (July 27). At present, the ‘bank’ started with 12 Oxygen concentrators.

“The initiative has been taken keeping in mind oxygen requirement during Covid situation. It aims at ensuring that the patients can be treated keeping them at homes and they need not to go the hospital just because of oxygen”, said Lion Pranab Sarkar to the media.

Any person can borrow oxygen concentrator equipment from the Lions Club at Ujjayanta Market after providing necessary documents and subject to conditions. Explaining further, Lion Pranab Sarkar said a nominal amount will be kept as a security deposit which will be refunded after the concentrators are returned.
