Tripura News: Leftists campaigning hard supporting Bharat Bandh

Leftist organizations across the State have launched campaign programmes in support of the September 27 Bharat Bandh protesting against the contentious Farm Laws. Campaign hard urging people to make the Bandh successful.

Left organizations are holding rallies and public meetings in different parts of the State.

However, as the administration promulgated Section 144 in East and West Police Station areas in Agartala, the Bandh supporters decided not to hold any rallies in Agartala, instead would distribute leaflets. As planned, today activists of Samjukta Kishan Morcha led by veteran CPM leader Pabitra Kar distributed leaflets among the people in front of Agartala City Centre on Saturday.

While speaking to the media, Kar termed the Farm Laws as anti-farmers. Pointing out that farmers of the country are holding agitation for more than 300 days, Kar urged people to join the strike to create pressure on the Central Government to repeal three Farm Laws. He also explained as to why the Leftist organizations are opposing the Farm Laws. In this connection, Kar also demanded central government to roll back the three Farm Laws.

Meanwhile, supporters of different Left organizations hit streets denouncing three Farm Laws, and Electricity Bill. They were also demanding legal recognition of MSP. Supporters held a rally and roamed around Kumarghat areas. They raised slogans against the Central Government and urged people to make the Bharat Bandh a grand success.
