Uttar Ekchari VC chosen as Model Village

Uttar Ekchhari ADC village, located adjacent to Amarpur and Karbook Assembly constituencies in Gomati district, has been chosen as Chief Minister’s Model Village. In a simple programme held at Karbook on Thursday, the announcement was made in presence of MLAs Ranjit Das and Burbamohan Tripura, Karbook SDM L Darlong and other dignitaries.

As per the guidelines of the Model Village project implementation, one village in every Assembly constituency would be selected for this project. Under the project, several developmental activities would be conducted to ensure the holistic development of the village people.

 

Rebati visits Unakoti Dist

MP Rebati Tripura inspected several developmental projects in the Unakoti district. He reviewed the progress of ongoing Kailashahar-Kumarghat, Kailashahar-Dharmanagar National Highway, and other works. The MP also held meetings with administrative officials of the district. He also met the local party leaders and talked about developmental issues.  

 

Covid norms 'flouted' at Udaipur during Covid vaccination

Allegations of flouting Covid norms during Covid vaccination at Udaipur sub-division Hospital have been raised. According to local sources, the hospital authority is also flouting the minimum requirement of infrastructural facilities during vaccine drives.

“According to the guidelines, every vaccinated person should be kept under observation for at least 30 minutes after administering a vaccine. However, there are no such facilities even for the elderly people”, sources alleged.

Meanwhile, local sources also alleged, huge rush for vaccination is grossly violating the social distancing norms. The Hospital Authority has no system to prevent crowding and common people are also not at all conscious about the danger of breaking social distancing norms.

 

Miscreant rob over Rs 76K

A group of 10-12 miscreants thrashed one person, Sujan Mia (24) of Ward No 4 under Chikanchhara ADC village in Jampuijala block last night. After beating him, miscreants also snatched Rs 76,600 and a costly mobile set from him, Sujan alleged. He later lodged a Police complaint.
