Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, once again reiterated that first priority should be the protection of our lives from the Covid19 pandemic and for this, the Government has accorded the highest priority in mass vaccination for Covid19.
“In order to ensure 100pc vaccination in the state, the timeline of special Covid vaccination has been extended till July 31, 2021. Government has given utmost importance to vaccination in the state,” expressed chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb after his visit to three Covid vaccination centers in Killa block in Gomati district on Thursday.
The chief minister today visited to Raisyabari health sub-center, SB Nagar health sub-center, and Dewanbari health sub-center under Killa. He ordered to increase the timeline of vaccination if needed so that everyone could take the opportunity of taking the shot. He also ordered to trace those who have not yet taken their vaccine shots and give them an opportunity to take the shot to protect themselves and their families.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for vaccination and said, “Even in their busy schedules, everyone must take time to get vaccinated. Other works can be done later on. First priority should be the protection of our own lives. Taking vaccine in due time is important.”
Deb suggested taking lessons from previous experience and be prepared for future challenges. He said, “We cannot be sure whether the third wave will hit us, but we have to take every precaution for which vaccination is a must.”
The Chief Minister hoped to reach the goal of 100 pc vaccination through complete vaccination of above 18 years age group. He urged everyone to come forward for the purpose. MLA Rampada Jamatia, Gomati DM Ravel Hemendra Kumar, director of family welfare and preventive medicines Dr. Radha Debbarma, director of health Dr. Subhashis Debbarma and other officials accompanied the Chief Minister during his visit to Covid vaccination centres in Killa block.
