Tripura News: TBSE announces Board exam results; Pass rate improves in Madhyamik, dips in HS+2

The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has declared the results for the Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) examinations on Friday. 

Announcing the results,, Board president Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury said, the overall pass percentage for Madhyamik is 87.54% and for Higher Secondary is 79.27%. 

TBSE-TRIPURA-BOARD-EXAMS-results-outWhile passing percentage has slightly improved in Madhyamik this year, HS+2 pass percentage has witnessed a dip. 

Also, interesting to note that numbers of female candidates appeared in both Madhyamik and the HS+2 exams were higher than the male students. However, in terms of success, male students have out performed the female candidates.

In terms of districts, Gomati district has the highest pass percentage for Madhyamik followed by the South Tripura District and West Tripura District.

In the HS+2 Sepahijala district has the highest pass percentage for Higher Secondary.

A total of 33739 students appeared in the Madhyamik examination. Number of female candidates appeared in exam was 17957 which was higher compared to male student (15782).

Number of successful candidates stood at 4205 (87.54 pc) out which male candidates were 2126 and females were 2079 in the Madhyamik exam.

In the HS+2 Exams, total number of students appeared in the HS+2 Exams was 25350 out of which males were 12015 while number of female candidates were 13335.

In the HS+2 Exams,  total 5255 students (79.27 pc) passed. Among them 2746 were male students while 2509 were female candidates.
