Tripura: State issues fresh Covid 19 containment guidelines

 

Tripura State Disaster Management Authority has issued fresh Covid 19 containment guidelines on Saturday.

According to the fresh guidelines, the District Magistrates have been empowered to constitute micro-containment zones and containment zones if any infection is found with unknown sources. Declaration and management of these zones will be subject to the consent of the District Magistrate.

 

The micro-containment zones will be formed taking three to four adjoining houses of the infected family and restrictions will continue to be imposed for maximum 14 days after the last recorded infection.

 

Apart from that, social distancing and wearing of masks continue to be mandatory in the public places and all the allowed activities are asked to be performed following both this practices.

 

The guidelines have not specified anything regarding reopening of schools and other educational institutes but maintains that the Ministry of Education will issue its own set of guidelines.

 

Meanwhile, activities in places like market complexes, shops, plying of commercial vehicles, offices of autonomous bodies, private firms, theatres and multiplexes should run with 50 percent capacity of seats.

 

For political, religious and other type of congregations, guidelines mention that such programmes should be organized with 50 percent capacity of people compared to the total space.

 

Moreover, people belonging to high risk age groups are also suggested to remain in homes and not to venture out without any urgency. The guidelines also mentions that precautionary measures like thermal scanning, hand wash and use of sanitizers are mandatory in entry and exit points of all public places. Penalties if found violating the norms will be also imposed.
