TSECL launches Smart Customer Care for efficient fault rectification

The State Government has introduced a centralised Smart Customer Care Call Centre along with Fault Rectifica- tion Teams at the TSECL corporate office, Agartala on Friday. After inaugurating the Smart Call Centre, Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma, who also holds the portfolio of Power department, has termed the initia- tive as a new page in the history of TSECL. The customer care centre will receive complaints in English, Hindi, Kokborok and Bengali from all over Tripura and ensure fault rectification efficiently. The facility will remain functional 24x7. The linemen will be pro- vided with vehicles along with equipments and safety gears.

Notably, the State Government has emphasized on electrification as well as ensuring drinking water facilities in every household. In view of this, it is expected that TSECL has a crucial role to play in maintaining uninterrupted power supply. Further, mainitaing power transmission lines, particularly during rainy season is a major challege. In case of disruption in power supply, among other services, drinking water supply is greatly affected. 

Also, there are some compliants, especially in Bishalgarh and other such areas where villagers are often experiencing frequent power cuts. 

With all these factors keeping in mind, the Smart Call Centre will play vital role in addressing customers' grivences and improve quality of services, experts opined.
