Union Minister Suresh Gopi tours Neermahal, pays a courtesy visit to CM Dr Manik Saha

Union Minister of State for Tourism, Petroleum, and Natural Gas, Suresh Gopi visited iconic tourist spot in Tripura Neermahal on the second day of his three-day Tripura visit on Wednesday.

The Union Minister also called on Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today.

State Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury accompanied him to Neermahal and during the meeting with the Chief Minister today. 

In the water hyacinth (Kachuripana)-free Rudrasagar, the Union Minister and Chowdhury reached Neermahal in a boat along with others. 

Chowdhury detailed about the initiatives taken by the Government to enhance attraction of the Neermahal. The Union Minister assured cooperation for further improvement of the tourist spot. 

Taking to his social media account, Sushanta Chowdhury wrote, "This morning, I visited Neermahal, one of the state's most popular tourist destinations, with the Honorable Shri Suresh Gopi, Minister of Tourism, Government of India."

Union-Tourism-Minister-suresh-gopi-Neermahal-CMChowdhury further wrote, "I presented in detail to the Union Minister the various initiatives taken by the Tripura Tourism Department in recent times to make Neermahal even more attractive to domestic and foreign tourists. The Hon'ble Union Minister assured me that he would extend all necessary help from his side to make Neermahal even more beautiful and attractive."

Later in the evening, Union Minister of State for Tourism, Petroleum, and Natural Gas, Suresh Gopi paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today.

During this courtesy call at the Chief Minister's official residence, both of them discussed various important issues in detail.

The discussion centred around the state's immense potential in the tourism sector, natural gas mining, and the transportation of petroleum products.

Welcoming the Union Minister of State, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the sincere efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government towards the all-round development of the state.

Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury was also present during this courtesy meeting.
