Prashikshan Vibhag of Vidya Bharati Tripura, in collaboration with SCERT Tripura, organized a one-day workshop on Pedagogical Strategies for Social Science Teaching at Bir Bikram Memorial College, Agartala. The workshop aimed to enhance the teaching skills of social science educators and provide them with innovative pedagogical approaches.
The workshop was attended by participants from 17 schools across the state. Dr. Sankar Roy, National Vice President of Vidya Bharati, attended the occasion as the Chief Guest. Expert resource persons, including Dr. Abhijit Chanda, Associate Professor, IASE, Kunjaban, Dr. Binapani Saha, Assistant Professor, IASE, Kunjaban, and Sri Samir Debbarma, Senior Lecturer, DIET, Gomati, shared their expertise with the participants.
The workshop focused on innovative teaching methods, pedagogical strategies, and best practices in social science education. The experts emphasised making social science teaching engaging, interactive, and relevant to real-life scenarios.
Dr. Sankar Roy, in his address, stressed the need for effective pedagogy in social science teaching to foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among students. He appreciated the initiative taken by Vidya Bharati Tripura and SCERT Tripura in organizing the workshop.
The participants appreciated the informative and interactive sessions, which provided them with valuable insights and practical tips to enhance their teaching practices.
