Tripura won a stunning victory against a strong Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy cricket tournament - thanks to Mani Shankar Mura Sing's all-round performance.

Tripura's vice-captain Mani Shankar played a key role in the win, scoring a quickfire half-century with the bat and taking four wickets with the ball.

The match was played at the Kini Sports Arena in Bangalore on Sunday. Batting first, Tripura scored 288-5 in their 50 overs. However due to rain, the target for Mumbai was reset to 265 in 43 overs. Mumbai were all out for 211 runs and Tripura won by 43 runs in VJD method.

This is Tripura's third win in six matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy cricket tournament. They will play Puducherry in their final group match on December 5.

On Sunday morning, Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and invited Tripura to bat first. Tripura's batsmen took the attack to the Mumbai bowlers from the start.
