Chief Minister of Tripura, Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, expressed his belief that the nation's strength lies in its youth, emphasizing their pivotal role in shaping the country's future. He made these remarks while addressing the state-level Yuva Utsav, an event organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan at Nazrul Kalakshetra in Agartala.
Dr. Saha underscored the need to inspire young people toward patriotism and disclosed that the state government has undertaken various initiatives to achieve this goal. He acknowledged that the youth are the driving force behind the nation's progress, as approximately 65 percent of India's population comprises this vital demographic. Dr. Saha stressed the importance of moral education and a sense of duty among the youth to contribute to the development of both society and the nation.
Furthermore, he highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for India's advancement, encapsulated in the five goals of Panchprana: freedom from any thoughts of subjugation, pride in Indian heritage, unity and solidarity among Indians, and a strong sense of civic duty. The Chief Minister explained that the youth festival was organized with these objectives in mind, aiming to instill the values of India's freedom struggle and patriotism among the younger generation.
Quoting Swami Vivekananda, Dr. Saha underscored the imperative of nurturing the inner strength of youth for their holistic development. He pointed out that the Prime Minister has launched various programs, such as "Har Ghar Tiranga" and "Meri Mati Mera Desh," to foster a sense of patriotism among the youth. These initiatives serve a dual purpose by paying homage to freedom fighters and instilling patriotic sentiments among the younger populace.
The event also saw the presence of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tinku Roy, who participated in the activities promoting youth engagement and development.
