Sarah Jessica Parker, known for her role in ‘Sex and the City,’ has shared her initial reluctance towards performing nude scenes for the popular HBO series.
In an interview on SiriusXM’s ‘The Howard Stern Show,’ the 58-year-old actress discussed her reservations about signing onto the show due to concerns about baring all on camera. Parker expressed her discomfort with nudity, stating that while she found the script intriguing and innovative, she was apprehensive about the possibility of such scenes being included in the series.
During the interview, Parker recalled a conversation with the show’s creator, Darren Star, who reassured her that she had the freedom to decline such scenes. Star emphasized that there would be other actors willing to participate if they felt comfortable doing so, but Parker was under no obligation to do the same. The actress confessed that her hesitation was not based on moral judgments or criticism of others, but rather her personal shyness and discomfort with exposing herself in that manner.
In addition to discussing her reservations about nudity, Parker also revealed some regrets about not pursuing cosmetic surgery earlier in her life. Reflecting on missed opportunities for a facelift, she pondered whether it was too late to consider such procedures now. While the actress admitted to contemplating the idea, she acknowledged that she had asked others for their opinions and ultimately stated that she is content with her appearance.
Parker concluded the interview by expressing her aversion to spending excessive time in front of the mirror. When asked about her self-perception, she modestly replied that she considers herself presentable but does not enjoy scrutinizing her own reflection, stating, “I’m fine.” (Edited)
