Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will address farmers and highlight Government initiatives for the development of the agriculture sector and welfare of farmers, at the Kisan Kalyan Mela in Sherpur village in Sehore district in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday.
He will also release the guidelines for operationalization of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, the pathbreaking scheme for crop insurance that was approved by the Union Cabinet last month.Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Kisan Mahasammelan at Sherper village of Madhya Pradesh.
Sherpur village of Sehore district is all ready for the event. Lakhs of farmers are expected to attend this function. Elaborate security arrangements have been made with regard to the PM’s arrival at this event. Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh would give away the Krishi Karman award trophy to the state government for the year 2013-2014. On this occasion, Soil health cards and compensation to three farmers each as a token would be given.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Steel and Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Labour Minister Thavar Chand Gehlot and Ministers of the state government would be present at this function.
