venkiGovernment has set up committee headed by Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu to look into demand of Jats for reservation in central government jobs. Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, the committee has been asked to submit a comprehensive report to find the solution of this problem. Mr Singh also appealed to the people of Haryana to help in maintaining peace and order in the state.

Haryana government will bring a Bill in the upcoming Assembly session to give reservation to Jat community in the state. BJP General Secretary and party state in charge Anil Jain said this after meeting Home Minister Rajnath Singh along with a delegation of Jat leaders in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, in Haryana, fresh incidents of violence have been reported with protesters in Bhiwani and Sonepat districts setting afire two police chowkis, shops and an ATM.Violence has also been reported from Hansi in Hisar district and Dadri in Bhiwani district. Curfew is going on in district cities of Rohtak,Hissar,Jhajjar,Kaithal,Jind and Bhiwani besides some small towns of the state. Army is staging flag march in the towns where curfew is going on.

Nine districts are under Army’s control as 73 columns have been deployed across the state. Haryana police and paramilitary forces have also been deployed along with army. 191 persons have been booked for indulging in violence. Haryana Police,Direcror General ,Yashpal Singhal said in Chandigarh 10 persons have been killed and about 150 injured during the ongoing Jat stir. Mr Singhal also said that some curfew bound places are limping back to normal.A number of roads have also been got vacated from the agitators. Meanwhile Home Secretary of Haryana PK Dass said that the situation in Jhajjar and Rohtak is under control, after the deployment of Army in both the cities 50 protestors were arrested. He also said that the government is committed to restore order.

Road and rail traffic through Haryana and destined to neighbouring states, including Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Chandigarh, remained disrupted with authorities cancelling services on most routes in the wake of continuing blockade. This stir has severely hit the movement of more than 1000 trains, air fares from Chandigarh and Amritsar, both cut off from the National Capital by road and rail, have risen manifold.
AIR correspondent in his report sayss that the army along with state police and para military forces began flag march today morning in the towns of the state. Helicopters carrying army men continues to make rounds over Rohtak and other towns.People,also felt safer owing to night patrol by army personnel.This action of security forces prooved helpful in improving the situation towards normalcy.

Besides this,some incidents of arson occurred at different places.According to the reports reaching from trouble torn areas, people are now hopeful of normalcy after announcement of a bill for reservation in the coming assembly session. Meanwhile road and rail traffic remained paralysed as essential supplies including fuel,milk and vegetables are severely hit.ATMs are running out of cash at many places.Markets remained shut in most towns..
