ProMASS News Bureau: Sep 19, 2016: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Pranab Mukherjee this evening at Rashtrapti Bhawan over Uri terror attack. Sources said, during the meeting, Mr. Modi briefed him about the development.
PM Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting in New Delhi on Sep 19, 2016 to review the security situation in J&K in the wake of terror attack in Uri. Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Army Chief General Dalbir Singh and senior officials of Home Ministry attended the meeting. The Prime Minister has been briefed on the prevailing ground situation in Kashmir Valley in the wake of the attack.
Having said that action has to be taken with proper planning without getting influenced by emotions, and former army chief V K Singh has said the lacunas which led to the terror attack at the army base in Uri needs to be investigated.
