J&K CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed passes away

J&K CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed passed away in New Delhi this morning. The 79-year-old leader was admitted in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi for the past 15 days and was on ventilator. Mr Sayeed was born in 1936 in Bijbehara in Jammu and Kashmir. He had previously served as Chief Minister from 2002 to 2005. He was also the Home Minister of India from December 1989 to November 1990. He had founded the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party in 1999.
