Two women Maoists killed in Chhattisgarh encounter

In Chhattisgarh, two women Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces today. AIR correspondent reports that the encounter took place in Polampalli area of Sukma district in tribal Bastar division. A joint team of District Reserve Group- DRG, Special Task Force- STF and District Police Force was on a search operation in Polampalli area. Maoists ambushed the team of security personnel near Palamadgu village. Security forces retaliated the fire. In this gun battle two women Maoists were killed. Police recovered the bodies of killed rebels. Security personnel also recovered two rifles, two country made pistols, some rounds of SLR, hand grenade and detonators from the spot.
