MoS Agriculture stresses on organic farming practices

Union Minister of State for Agriculture Mohan Bhai Kundariya on Saturday emphasised the need to adopt organic farming practices and avoid the temptation of excessive use of fertilisers and pesticides due to their adverse effects on soil and population. He was addressing a farmers’ conference in Margao in Goa on Saturday. He also emphasized the need to have Krishi melas to educate and make farmers aware of the latest technological advances in agriculture. He said this will enable them to get higher yields, to add value to their produce and earning more returns.
