ProMASS: Jan 17, 2017: Election Commission of India today served notice to AAP convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The notice was served for his comments in Goa asking the people to accept money for votes. Acting on complaint filed by BJP against Mr. Kejriwal, the EC observed that prima facie by making such remarks Kejriwal has violated the Model Code of Conduct.
It has asked him to explain his position by 1 PM on19th of this month. While addressing a public rally in Goa on 8th of this month, Mr. Kejriwal had asked the people to accept money offered by Congress and BJP but vote for the AAP.
