Sudip Bandyopadhyay bail plea rejected

Feb 04, 2017: Trinamool MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay failed to get a bail as  the Khordha District and Sessions Judge Court in Bhubaneswar today rejected the bail plea of  Sudip Bandyopadhyay. The Trinamool MP was arrested for his alleged involvement in the Rs 17,000 crore Rose Valley chit fund scam.

The CBI, entrusted to probe the scam, arrested the four-time Lok Sabha member on January 3 from Kolkata. At present Sudip Bandyopadhyay is lodged at Jharpada Special Jail in Bhubaneswar along with another Trinamool MP Tapas Paul, accused in the same Chit fund scam.
