Regional party of Tripura, INPT expressed deep concern at violent clashes between ruling alliance – BJP and IPFT -in ADC areas in the name campaign for respective parties. Speaking to media after a meeting in Agartala Press club, INPT leader Rabindra Debbarma said, hill areas have become tensed due to frequent clashes between BJP and IPFT. People are now scared – but ignoring the public sentiments, both the BJP and IPFT are fighting against each other to gain political ground in the hills.
Debbarma, however, pointed out that BJP-IPFT Government had ‘failed’ in meeting the expectation of people – particularly people of indigenous communities. He claimed, there is large scale discontent among the hill people as the BJP-IPFT could not live up to the expectations.

“With merger of NCT and its youth wing with INPT, the party would emerge stronger”, party leaders said.
INPT leaders also pointed out that several meetings in TTAADC areas had been organized to boost up confidence of youth members of INPT and garner support of common people.
Leaders condemned the aggressive attitude of BJP and IPFT and alleged, people in hills are not living in peace due to sporadic clashes.
Addressing the youth members, Rabindra Debbarma urged them to be united and highlight plight of the indigenous people under incumbent alliance.
Among others, NCT – now merged with INPT – leader Animesh Debbarma was also present.
Speaking to media, leaders also alleged that they were not allowed to hold meetings by the administrations. “We are urging the administration to allow us to hold meetings obeying Covid19 rules”, INPT leaders said.
